hi, friend.

welcome to my world of widowhood & motherhood all before I'm even old enough for a mid-life crisis.

I spent my childhood sketching wedding dresses and dreaming up my future. By 29 years old, I was living the life my nine year old self had planned; happily married in the cutest little cape style house having just welcomed our first baby. And then in an instant, with two small words "he's passed," life as I knew it was over. My husband died suddenly and I became a widow right along with the title of brand new mama. I've spent every day since learning to navigate this life of love, loss, motherhood & the life-ish that happens in-between usually with a coffee and 4 day old hair. Welcome.

the Mama. the Widow.

the Griever. the Laugher. the One who hasn't washed her hair in a few days. the Hopeful thirty-something writing a future she'll learn to love. I'm so glad you're here. Sometimes I wonder how I got here. Then I remember. My husband, Joe, (I will never call him my late husband because that man was always early) will be a constant in my words and sharing on here.
